Fanatical Prospecting is a one stop shop sales book for anyone from veteran to rookie salesmen. It practically sums up everything you need to know in sales and I would recommend reading it multiple times. I took notes of the key points and review them frequently for maximum retention. I suggest you do the same.

It lines up what it takes to be a salesman. That’s prospecting every damn day if you can’t tell by the title. The thing sales people hate most, is what’s best for them. Like eating broccoli as a kid, it sucks, but you got to do it.

The methods he gives for telephone prospecting & email prospecting are phenomenal. When I was in sales, I would have paid at least $50 just to know those two things. I guarantee I would have had better results than I already had.

It highlights a lot of stuff salesman forget because they are so focused on themselves. Like actually focusing on the customers needs and not your pitch. No one likes to be pitched too.

The last three chapters of the book not to mention are insanely good. Especially chapter 21. I was fired up and ready to sell anything just to sell after reading it. And I still am.

Final Rating

One of the better sales books I have read. The beginning was a little slow, but it picks up fast. I give it a solid 8/10. If you read Fanatical Prospecting and The Greatest Salesman in the World, you would be set.

Gift this book to yourself or a salesperson you care about. In the end, we all need sales in our life.
