12 Rules For Life By Jordan Peterson Review

Anyone who has been on YouTube and dabbled in self improvement knows about Jordan Peterson. One of the most wise, insightful, and best people to look up to in our time. A professor at Harvard and now the University of Toronto with over 100 academic papers under his belt, nobody questions his credibility.

Chances are if you watch his YouTube videos, you will absolutely love 12 Rules for Life. Its the culmination of everything he has been teaching. Filled with parables, examples, and person experiences to make sure you aren’t left wondering about the loop holes.

Each chapter is extremely in dept and the book is 355 pages not including the afterword or “coda” which is quite good as well.

If you are looking for a book that tells you how perfect you are, this is the wrong book. This book will instill with you a passion for what is right and the truth. His opens our eyes slowly by using stories from lobster psychology all the way the to Bible! Peterson looks at many familiar bible parables in an insightful way that many pastors flat out miss. At least my pastors did and I went to church frequently.

In my opinion, there isn’t a person who shouldn’t read this book. You don’t have to be religious to relate with the bible stories. Its not a thriller, but very entertaining and profound. He talks about recent controversial topics like school shootings, college debt, Trump and much more that any reader could relate with.

I normally like to name a specific group of people, but anyone will have an easy time relating to this book.

I would gift this book to anyone that I know (I have to a few already), because it is literally a book for everyone. It feeds the soul and gives you a sense of purpose where they may be none. It can help you get out of the blues, without being flattering about it. It is water, where many young people have been parched. The need to hear what is good in life and to hear some firm words wrapped in reality about how to achieve what is good in life, is in high demand. This is Peterson’s response to that high demand. There is a reason it is a #1 Best Seller!

Don’t just take my word for it, look at the reviews.

Final Rating

I love this book, I will read it to my children, and I will gift it to people when I have no idea what to get them. I feel like there are about 10 books I would not have needed to read if I had just read this one.

This book was profound, I’d read it to my kids, I’d read it again, and it would be my first choice of a book to give to a random person off the street. I believe this book will make this world a better place.

Easily, a 9/10. Find it easily, here.
